Scope of Work: The Senior Business Continuity Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, maintenance, and execution of the organizationโ€™s Business Continuity Management System (BCMS). This role is critical in ensuring Black Fox maintains its ISO 22301:2019 certification and organizational resilience. The candidate will oversee the enterprise-wide continuity strategy, ensuring that critical business functions can be maintained or rapidly restored in the event of a disruption.
The candidate must be able to understand and demonstrate the ability to develop continuity planning and crisis management frameworks across multiple platforms and computing environments.
Responsibilities: This resource will primarily be tasked with performing Business Continuity planning and operational activities including, but not limited to the following:

  • Program Management: Maintain and improve the ISO 22301 compliant Business Continuity Management System (BCMS). Lead internal and external audits related to BC/DR certifications.
  • Business Impact Analysis (BIA): Conduct periodic BIAs to identify critical business processes, Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
  • Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments to identify threats and vulnerabilities that could impact organizational operations.
  • Plan Development: Design, implement, and support business continuity and crisis management plans. Ensure plans are documented, accessible, and actionable.
  • Testing & Exercising: Plan and execute table-top exercises and full-scale drills to validate the effectiveness of continuity plans.
  • Incident Management: Serve as a key leader during disruptive events, facilitating the Crisis Management Team (CMT) and coordinating response efforts.
  • Training & Awareness: Assist with training/mentoring other staff on continuity roles and responsibilities.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain business continuity administration procedures and documentation.

Education:
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Business Administration, Emergency Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
  • Certification in Business Continuity (e.g., CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer) is highly preferred.

Experience:
  • The candidate must have skill and 10+ years of combined experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or crisis management.
  • Experience implementing or managing ISO 22301 standards is required.
  • Experience with government contracting or IT services environments is a plus.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Advanced knowledge of ISO 22301:2019 standards and implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of Risk Management frameworks.
  • Solid working knowledge of Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and its integration with Business Continuity.
  • Solid working knowledge of verification testing techniques for continuity plans.
  • Solid working knowledge of technical requirements for Disaster Recovery.
  • Advanced interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Servers and Cloud environments (Azure/AWS) as they relate to recovery strategies.
