Job description

A highly skilled Business Analyst Project Manager working with business teams and other stakeholders to gather information and requirements using techniques like interviews, work sessions, storyboarding and prototyping.  The Senior Business Analyst Project Manager will then work with the business entities to translate these requirements into documentation and project plans ensuring the goals are achieved in a timely and efficient manner. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, document and communicate business requirements and translate them into more detailed user stores, use cases and other functional requirement documents including, but not limited to process flows, screen mock-ups, gap analysis and project schedules.
  • Create documents and other artifacts to promote sustainable knowledge management within the organization.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings and working session activities to identify project goals, schedule, impacted processes and procedures to foster cooperation and collaboration from the project team.
  • Use requirements to influence design, review of test cases, process change requests, and manage project scope, acceptance, installation and deployment.
  • Facilitate change management of requirements, determine schedule impacts, and manage a project log of risks, issues and decisions.
  • Coordinate reviews and signoffs with stakeholders to ensure the documentation accurately portrays the business need including acceptance criteria. Conduct periodic process reviews to clarify and document work product.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team of developers, architects, and QA to develop and break down requirements into manageable user stories. 
  • Verification of user stories to ensure they meet acceptance criteria so that items can be released to production efficiently.
  • Perform product demos as needed. 
  • Manage and ensure timelines throughout project plan, including sprint cycles to ensure project milestones are met and product delivered within agreed upon and acceptable time constraints.
  • Produce accurate and timely status reports on projects and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to business analyst/project manager team members.
  • Work independently and successfully to complete assignments ensuring that the process doesn’t get in the way of the delivery.
  • Assist and complete duties, special projects and overall support as requested by Lead, Business Analyst/Project Manager or as directed by VP, Technology Governance.

  • Demonstrated aptitude to quickly learn business processes. 
  • Thorough understanding of project management and application management lifecycles.
  • Excellent ability to work independently and as a part of a team; managing time and resources to meet assigned deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a technical discipline.
  • CCBA, PMP Certifications
  • Working knowledge of SQL and HTML
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Systems Analyst delivering cutting edge technology with an emphasis on new product development in a technical environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in a scrum/agile environment; scrum certification preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and shift priorities effectively.
  • 3+ years in facilitating workshops for requirements gathering
  • 5+ years of experience creating documentation for business requirements, functional and non-functional.
  • 5+ years of experience in creating graphical representations of complex business processes and workflows.
  • 5+ years of experience in end-to-end project management of multi-faceted projects.
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile projects and sprint delivery
  • 3+ years of experience in managing multi-faceted resource teams
  • 3+ years of experience in communications and change management documentation, procedure and implementation.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in the technology field.
  • Experience in developing report specifications, defining the purpose, justification, attributes, columns, owners, runtime parameters and any calculations.
  • Experience in the Hospitality or Travel Industries a plus.
