Position Summary

Stillwater Insurance Group is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst Manager to lead and develop our Business Analysis team while serving as a strategic partner between business and technology stakeholders.

In this role, you will oversee a team of Business Analysts responsible for identifying, analyzing, documenting, and prioritizing business requirements that support enterprise initiatives and technology solutions. You will establish and continuously improve business analysis practices, methodologies, and standards while working closely with business leaders, project teams, and IT partners to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

This position is ideal for a collaborative leader who excels at building high-performing teams, driving process improvements, and translating complex business needs into impactful technology solutions.

What You'll DoLeadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of Business Analysts.
  • Establish performance goals, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Build a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional development.
  • Champion best practices and knowledge sharing across the Business Analysis function.
Business Analysis Practice Leadership
  • Own and continuously improve the Business Analysis operating model, processes, standards, and tools.
  • Standardize documentation templates, requirement-gathering frameworks, and BA methodologies across the organization.
  • Review work products to ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Establish oversight mechanisms that ensure strategic initiatives are delivered successfully and aligned with business objectives.
Business & Technology Partnership
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to translate organizational priorities into actionable initiatives.
  • Oversee the gathering, analysis, and documentation of complex business requirements, process flows, and user stories.
  • Ensure business needs are translated into clear, actionable technical specifications for development and engineering teams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams to facilitate alignment and resolve competing priorities.
Process Improvement & Change Management
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, systems, and user experiences.
  • Assess organizational impacts of change and develop mitigation strategies to support adoption and successful outcomes.
  • Oversee user training initiatives, feedback programs, and adoption metrics to maximize return on technology investments.
  • Encourage the use of innovative technologies, including AI-driven capabilities, to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Property & Casualty insurance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager, preferably within the Property & Casualty insurance industry.
  • 3-5 years of leadership or people management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering, validation, acceptance criteria development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and business readiness activities.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop Business Analysts.
  • Strong project prioritization, stakeholder management, and resource planning skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting enterprise system implementations, business transformation initiatives, or technology modernization efforts.
  • Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
