Stevenson School currently has a full-time Building Services position available at our Pebble Beach campus.
Job Title:
Building Services
Department: Facilities
Reports to: Building Services Supervisor
Job Status: Full-time, non-exempt
Work Schedule: 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
POSITION SUMMARY
The Building Services position is responsible for general cleaning-related duties on Stevenson School's Pebble Beach campus which includes dormitories, classrooms, restrooms and office areas throughout the campus. This position is also responsible for set ups for School-related events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Clean, sweep, dust, mop, wash, and vacuum floors using brooms, mops and/or powered scrubbing or waxing machines. Clean windows, woodwork, furniture and equipment.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and or shampooers.
  • Clean toilet facilities and showers and maintain restrooms supplied with towels, tissue, soap and other items. Collect and dispose of trash.
  • Perform outside work such as cleaning of walkways and washing of windows.
  • Move/rearrange furniture.
  • Prepare rooms for meetings, conferences, or events involving setup of tables and chairs.
  • Ensure buildings are secure when facilities are not in use; check for unlocked doors and windows, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights.
  • Wear proper protective clothing/equipment.
  • Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
  • Reports non-functioning lights, locks, plumbing, etc. when discovered during the course of daily work.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned by the Building Services Supervisor.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of general building services experience including housekeeping, cleaning, etc.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently and complete a daily work schedule.
  • Ability to relate to faculty, staff and students in a courteous manner.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Absent an applicable exemption, employees are required to be vaccinated against COVID and the Flu
