Job description
Registered Nurse – PCU
Schedule: Nights
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Valid compact or state RN license required at time of submission
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (NIHSS listed)
- Experience with Epic charting required
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a step-down/PCU environment.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, managing cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia.
- Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies, including peripheral, PICC, and central line care.
- Perform tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and wound care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and ensure timely interventions.
Compliance / Notes:
- Candidate must complete fingerprinting as soon as possible after contract signing.
- Strict submission deadline for compliance documents; must meet Tuesday-before-start deadline.
- Background checks and drug screening required.
