Job description
Registered Nurse – Observation Unit / Med-Surg Telemetry / Oncology
Schedule: 12-hour Nights or Days
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience
- Must meet experience requirements within the last 3 years
- At least 1 year of current specialty experience required for clinical pass
- BCLS (BLS) certification required
- ACLS, OCN certification preferred
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and on-unit monitoring
- Skills in IV management, blood product administration, and phlebotomy
- Proficiency with medical devices such as BiPAP/CPAP and insulin protocols
- Experience with Epic charting system required
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an observation unit
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver optimal patient care
- Assist in patient education and support during treatment transitions
