Job description

Intuit Dome is seeking an experienced and multifaceted Building Security Manager who is adept at developing, growing and leading our Building Security team and planning and implementing access control programs to our 24/7 Security operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the Security Department incorporating new technology into a seamless safer experience for fans and team members. The Building Security Manager will be someone who possess a detailed understanding of sports & entertainment venue safety programs and has five or more years of supervisory or management experience in a building security or event-based workforce.
This is a full-time role based in Inglewood, CA and is eligible for our competitive benefit offering including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan with company contribution, Well-Being Allowance, and more. Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays to cover high profile concerts and NBA games.
What You Will Do
  • Manage Building Security Coordinator to plan, develop, and implement programs that support strategic goals while maintaining the highest industry standards for safety and security.
  • Assist the Director of Security Technology in recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and scheduling of 24/7 Building Security operations, ensuring a high-performing team while implementing programs that uphold industry standards and ensure the safety and security of all fans, team members, performers, and stakeholders.
  • Manage budget, scheduling, and staffing deployment for all full-time and part-time Building Security Supervisors, Leads, and Officers.
  • Develop and deliver security policies and procedures, post orders, and training materials for full-time and part-time Building Security Officers, including state licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with Building Security Supervisors to lead shift briefings while actively monitoring all security, incident management, and life safety systems within the Command Center.
  • Oversee operations of critical systems including state-of-the-art CCTV, access control, incident management systems, radio communications, and select management systems within the Command Center and Loading Dock.
  • Assist the Director of Security Technology in managing a global Halo Sports & Entertainment credentialing system to provide customized and restricted access rights to employees, business partners, and vendors conducting work at Intuit Dome and/or Kia Forum.
  • Provide effective communication to staff during emergency response situations; update and maintain facility Emergency Operating Plans with regular reviews, updates, and exercises.
  • Assess, develop, and manage the execution of security strategies and plans required to secure building perimeters, parking garages, access points, staff work areas, command center, and loading dock operations.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and memorialize programs to ensure the safety and security of all fans, employees, performers, public officials, executive leadership, service partners, and clients.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local, city, state, and federal government security organizations to ensure effective communication, coordination, compliance, and assistance with investigations related to security incidents at Intuit Dome and Kia Forum.
  • Conduct routine industry operational reviews and recommend modifications to Intuit Dome and Kia Forum security and safety programs, policies, and procedures as deemed appropriate.
  • Serve on an on-call basis 24/7, as needed, based on Intuit Dome events and related activities.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Your Background, Skills, and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field. (advance degree preferred)
  • Five years direct industry experience in security-related field.
  • Supervisory and management experience with an building security or event-based work force.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of sports & entertainment venue event planning and related activities.
  • Experience with governmental resources, including police and fire departments, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, FBI and other local, state and federal resources.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of physical security systems, including 24/7 Software, CCTV, Envoy, fire alarm, Genetec, Liferaft, and Motorola radio communication systems and/or other comparable systems.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in crisis management, investigation skills, security technology, life safety, risk management, payroll, and scheduling are required.
  • Experience with budgeting and creating event staffing estimates.
  • Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and compliance regulations.

Compensation
  • $80,000 - $90,000 annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
