Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Armed Security Guard, you will be a critical frontline protector, ensuring safety and security through vigilant presence and rapid response.
Every day, you will execute planned security activities and perform authorized emergency management functions, maintaining order, protecting individuals, and mitigating risks across your assigned shifts.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate high responsibility, sharp observation, sound judgment under pressure, and a strong commitment to a secure environment.

  • Maintains a comprehensive inspection, test and maintenance program for all security physical and electronic measures. Follows up on pending security issues.
  • Implements requirements of the Security Management Plan.
  • Manages and coordinates responses to critical incidents.
  • Monitors and documents actual and potential security breaches.
  • Monitors existing security systems and technologies for possible security leaks or fraud.
  • Conducts ongoing security orientation and training of assigned staff and may serve as Field Training Officer.
  • Maintains a high level of visibility and provides an armed presence in the Emergency Department and Siena Hello Desk.
  • Conducts routine safety patrols of assigned areas, reporting safety and security issues within those areas.
  • Conducts access control and provides escorts for visitors to secure areas.
  • Responds to calls for Security presence within the Emergency Department and assists staff as requested.
  • Provides Helipad and Landing security.
  • Leading Through Mission, Vision & Values - Keeping the organization's mission, vision and values at the forefront of associate decision making and action.


Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate General Studies or High School GED 
  • One (1) year experience as a security officer involving extensive public contact
  • Driver's License: Nevada  
  • BLS-American Heart Association, within 90 Days
  • Carry Concealed Weapon Certification, within 6 months


Preferred

  • Prior Hospital experience
  • Basic Health Care Security Officer, within 90 Days
