As the host hotel for the IRONMAN World Championship, the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has openings for talented Temporary, Full time Cook 2 to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience from October 1 - October 14, 2026.

Brief Summary of Job: During IRONMAN World Championship period of October 1 - October 14, 2026: Β Responsible for the preparation of hot/cold itemsΒ according to recipes and specifications set by the Hotel.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
  • Functions may include the following: fry cook, butcher, baker, broiler cook, breakfast cook, meat cutter, pastry cook and day cook.
  • Substitutes and/or relieves cooks assigned to junior stations.
  • Assists in the supervision and/or training of lower rated cooks.
  • Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Knowledge/Education/Experience: Minimum of two (2) - three (3) years of hotel culinary cooking or restaurant cooking experience that includes advanced culinary skills. High school or equivalent education. TB clearance card required.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: English speaking or bilingual. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Ability to maintain good team member relations. Dependable.
