Environmental Brand Team: Exterior Signage & Interior Design - Enterprise Marketing
The Environmental Branding Designer will be part of a creative and innovative team within the Enterprise Marketing organization. The candidate is responsible for the development and implementation of interior design, exterior signage design, and environmental branding of our retail branches, private bank offices, corporate offices, and ATM network. The Designer will drive the vision for our brand design efforts by creating attractive, branded environments that support the desired customer experience for different locations, including advisory branches, wealth centers and other new formats.
The candidate will collaborate with a broad team of internal partners throughout the pre-design, test fit, design development, construction and post-construction phases, working closely with stakeholders, architects and suppliers to create design schemes that bring our brand to life in our physical network. This artful combination of decor finishes, and branding will support spaces that are highly flexible, functional, warm and welcoming for prospects and customers, and lay the foundation for memorable and valuable experiences that are delivered by our Citizens colleagues. They will be responsible for general project management tasks to ensure projects and initiatives stay on track and deadlines are met.


Job Responsibilities:
Develop, evolve and maintain design standards for interior construction, architectural/interior finishes, lighting, environmental graphics, materials and furniture to carry out our design intent. Review construction drawings, specifications and technical details to ensure that elements are coordinated within design documents, to meet interior approved decor package standards.
Design and execute exterior signage and trade dress concepts to support the transformation of our retail branch and ATM network. Review engineer drawings, control drawings and prototypes and manage vendors to execute successfully in terms of quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Develop decor, signage and environmental playbooks / architectural guidelines based on a variety of tiered budgetary alternatives and branch format types. Review design budgets, materials, and value engineering to ensure standards coincide with branch format business case.
Responsible for managing multiple projects on a daily basis and communicating effectively with project team and supplier, including production schedules, scopes of work, contracts, invoicing, renderings, prototypes and samples.
Ability to communicate and coordinate with suppliers, internal and external partners to assist with approving design documents, floor plans / brand books while also resolving project design, budget issues.
Perform site visits and inspections of completed work, and facilitate the resolution of punch list items
Evaluate finished projects and prototype designs to understand key learnings, recommend strategy and design development adjustments and apply value engineering to gain cost saving efficiencies. Leverage stakeholder and customer feedback to assess project effectiveness.
Ensure all design concepts and completed projects amplify our brand and are consistent with our brand design standards, Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, compliance requirements, zoning, landlord and municipality requirements.
Possess a true passion for interior design and environmental branding, continuously examining and building a working knowledge of trends, new materials and design executions. Test and learn through innovative new design approaches.


Qualifications:
5+ years in architecture, interior design, or retail industry with a focus on design
Portfolio of interior architecture or interior design accomplishments
Strong influencing, negotiating and presentation skills
Possess thought leadership ability and a continuous improvement mindset
Ability to build strong partnerships with peers, internal partners, suppliers and leaders, collaborating to drive business objectives, strategy and financial performance
Lead and manage multiple complex, overlapping design projects with tight timelines in an extremely fast-paced environment
Proficient in interpreting construction documents (e.g., architectural, structural, finish plans, lighting) with a critical eye toward architectural design challenges and opportunities
Experience with developing strong design presentations, successfully selling in concepts and influencing at all levels of the organization in support of design strategy and objectives
Proven experience using AutoCad, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office to develop and present design concepts and bring vision and ideas to life through drawings, elevations and renderings

Pay TransparencyΒ 

The salary range for this position is $115,000-$173,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
