Job description

Staff Accountant | Fully Remote Opportunity

Base Comp To $80K + Bonus + 100% Employer-Paid Beneifts

Client Facign Role | People-Centric Leadership Focused on Amazing Work-Life Balance

If you’re someone who loves clean books, clear expectations, and getting things done, this might be your seat.

Our client, a fast-growing remote accounting and advisory firm, is expanding and looking to add two (2) Staff Accountants who can step in, own a book of clients, and thrive in a high-trust, high-accountability environment.

This is not a data-entry bookkeeping role. This is real accounting, with real responsibility, real clients, and real impact.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
• Managing day-to-day accounting for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online
• Reconciling bank and credit card accounts on an ongoing basis
• Preparing monthly financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets
• Recording and reviewing journal entries for payroll, revenue, accruals, and adjustments
• Supporting month-end close with accuracy and consistency
• Assisting with cleanup of prior-period books for new clients when needed
• Collaborating with managers and teammates to ensure work is completed on time
• Occasionally joining onboarding or client calls when clarification or support is needed

You won’t be left alone, but you will be trusted to own your work.

What Success Looks Like in This Role
• Your clients’ books are consistently clean and current
• Bank feeds are reviewed regularly, not ignored until month-end
• Clients feel confident because they get timely responses and clear communication
• You’re comfortable managing clients with varying levels of complexity
• You work steadily throughout the month instead of cramming everything at the end

What We’re Looking For
• 2 or more years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a public accounting or outsourced accounting environment
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience
• Solid understanding of debits and credits and how financial statements work
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote environment
• Cleanup experience is a BIG PLUS

How We Work
• Fully remote
• Standard workload averages 40 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling with availability during core business hours
• Video on for meetings
• Clients are professional and aligned with how we work
• Low micromanagement culture with a high level of individual accountability

If you need micromanagement, this won’t be a fit. If you like clarity, ownership, and momentum, you’ll feel right at home.

Compensation and Benefits
• Competitive base salary up to $80K DOE
• Annual bonus opportunity
• 401(k) with company match
• 100 percent employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance
• Additional benefits for dependents
• Company-provided equipment and technology
