Job description

We are seeking a motivated, highly detail-oriented individual to join our small team as a Part-Time Bookkeeping Intern. This role offers flexibility and independence, ideal for students pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or business administration. 

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify daily close reports from multiple retail locations
  • Record daily deposits and process expense reports in QuickBooks
  • Assist with preparing and processing biweekly payroll
  • Organize and file paperwork, including documents containing sensitive financial information
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity when handling financial or employee information
  • Occasionally run errands requiring personal transportation
  • Assist with other tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
