Digital Strategy Consultant
We are seeking a digital strategist steeped in the world of biotech and pharma to elevate our client's communications programs by engaging specific specialized audiences in support of company communications and business goals. This role is suited for someone who understands biotech and pharma communications, and can identify the best ways to apply our clients' communications programs to digital channels. As a digital strategist, you'll be integrated within a specialized team of biotech communicators and creatives who partner with the industry's most innovative companies developing transformative new therapies for patients.
We are looking for a strategist and operator who can identify and apply the right tactics based on our clients' communications goals, budgets and stages of development.
What you will do:
  • Develop and launch digital campaigns for companies of all sizes and stages, from pre-clinical to commercial, including campaigns focused on strategic areas such as:
    • Disease awareness
    • Patient engagement
    • Partner and investor outreach
    • Clinical trial support
    • Scientific differentiation
    • Culture and hiring
  • Integrate across social, website and other digital channels to support our clients' overall communications
  • Partner with internal TBC teams to:
    • Provide recommendations on campaign budgets, channels and tactics based on a client's business and communications goals and target audiences
    • Advise on ad creative for a particular campaign, including suggestions for creative and copy
    • Advise on the technology stack required to support each digital campaign including tools required for execution, analytics tracking, and additional requirements
  • Report on campaign performance across channels, providing recommendations for extending impact and helping tie campaign performance to specific business goals
  • Meet and collaborate with client teams to explain strategy and performance and develop follow-on activities

What we're looking for:
  • 8+ years managing digital campaigns in the biotech and pharma space
  • Demonstrated ability to tailor strategies based on company size, audience, goals and progress
  • Ability to think at a high level in strategy conception, while executing the strategy with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Knowledge of various tools available to strategically reach relevant audiences within our industry, such as:
    • NPI-based targeting
    • YouTube and video marketing
    • Doceree and Sermo
    • Programmatic tools
  • Familiarity with scientific concepts our clients may be working on
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments and knowledge of what is and is not permissible at different stages across digital channels in healthcare

Engagement Details
  • This is a freelance role, engaged on a project or retainer basis
  • Work may fluctuate based on client needs. Flexibility and responsiveness to deadlines are important
  • Freelancers are expected to manage their own schedules and tools while meeting agreed-upon deliverables and timelines
  • Compensation will be based on an agreed upon hourly rate and estimate of total number of hours required to complete the project
