Job description

Are you looking for a Histology position in San Diego, CA? My name is Caroline and I am a Healthcare Recruiter with a NEW permanent opportunity at a cutting-edge genomics diagnostic company.   

Overview: The Histologist makes sure the histology lab runs smoothly while also meeting high-quality standards. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lab Work – Handle tissue processing, cutting, staining, and making slides for research and diagnosis.
  • Ensure Compliance – Follow all safety and industry regulations (CAP, CLIA, etc.).
  • Keep Things Organized – Manage specimens, maintain records, and properly handle hazardous materials.

Requirements: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in science.
  • Some histology experience. 
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Bonus: Certification (HT or HTL from ASCP) and experience with digital pathology are a plus.
