Position Summary:
Remix Therapeutics is seeking an initiative-taking Senior Manager, Strategy & Business Development to support corporate partnering activities and investor communications for a growing private biotechnology company. This individual will play a critical role in shaping strategic opportunities, advancing partnerships, and supporting fundraising efforts while serving as a key interface between scientific, executive, and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings a strong scientific background and 2-4 years of experience in biotech strategy, business development, or life sciences roles. We are seeking someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates flexibility in managing priorities, and values in-person collaboration as this role requires an onsite presence in Watertown, MA.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Business Development
  • Support the Chief Business Officer in building and managing the business development pipeline aligned with company strategy.
  • Conduct scientific, commercial, and competitive analyses on market trends to inform priorities and recommendations.
  • Develop clear, concise materials for internal decision-making, including opportunity overviews, business cases, and presentations for senior leadership and the Board.
  • Coordinate cross-functional due diligence with internal Remix functions.
  • Maintain tracking of business development activities and prepare concise updates and dashboards for leadership.

Investor Relations and Financing Support
  • Support development and refinement of investor communications, including corporate presentations and supporting materials.
  • Assist with fundraising processes, including organizing and managing due diligence materials and data rooms.
  • Help manage relationships with current and prospective investors through meeting preparation, follow-up, and ongoing updates.
  • Maintain internal materials related to company strategy, pipeline, and milestones to ensure clear and consistent messaging.

Qualifications:
Required
  • Advanced degree in a life science discipline (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MD, or MS) strongly preferred; MBA or formal business/finance training a plus.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in biotech strategy and business development, life sciences consulting, or equity research focused on biopharma.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret scientific and clinical data and translate it into clear strategic and commercial implications.
  • Excellent slide-writing and communication skills; able to distill complex topics into concise narratives for senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, manage multiple opportunities in parallel, and drive projects forward with limited oversight.
  • Flexible and collaborative working style with experience partnering across scientific and business functions.
  • Background in oncology preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Salary Range
$157,000.00 - $192,000.00 USD
This range reflects the expected base salary for this position, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
