A well-established professional services organization in Indianapolis is seeking a Project Billing Specialist to join its growing accounting team. What You'll Do
As a Project Billing Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting project accounting and client billing operations by ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review contracts and project agreements to understand billing terms and invoicing requirements
  • Process and manage a high volume of monthly client invoices
  • Review project reports and supporting documentation for billing accuracy
  • Set up and approve new projects within the accounting system
  • Submit invoices through client portals, email, and traditional delivery methods
  • Maintain project labor rates and billing schedules
  • Audit contractual billing requirements to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with project managers, accounting professionals, and operational teams
  • Support additional accounting projects and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
  • 2+ years of billing, project billing, or invoicing experience
  • Proven ability to manage a large monthly volume of invoices
  • Strong understanding of billing terms, contract requirements, and invoice accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
