Job description

Accounting Specialist - Billing LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an Accounting Specialist for a project billing role in downtown Cincinnati. This role supports the accounting function with a primary focus on project-based billing and financial coordination. The individual will work closely with internal teams and external contacts to ensure accurate invoicing, timely payments, and reliable financial reporting. This position is 100% onsite and will pay between $58K and $72K annually. Parking is paid for by the company. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices based on project activity and completed work
  • Partner with internal staff to verify time entry accuracy and billing data
  • Respond to billing-related inquiries from internal teams and external contacts
  • Manage billing activities throughout the project lifecycle, including setup, funding, invoicing, and closeout
  • Process purchase orders and related documentation
  • Apply and reconcile incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts
  • Review billing reports and perform accuracy checks
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including general ledger reconciliations
  • Support leadership with financial reporting and ad hoc analysis as needed
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a billing, accounting, or similar role
  • Associate degree in business is preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Service-oriented mindset with effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to analyze and organize data
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
  • Well-organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
