Job description

Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated and goal-oriented Business Development Representative who enjoys developing customer relationships, following up on leads, and turning opportunities into scheduled appointments. This KPI-driven position blends outbound sales, appointment scheduling, customer engagement, dispatch coordination, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is energized by achieving measurable results, communicating confidently with customers, and is excited to contribute to the growth of a fast-paced residential services company.
Reports To: Director of Revenue Operations
Pay Type: $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience
Location: Durham NC
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm 
Core Responsibilities
1. Appointment Setting
  • Handle inbound leads on phones, email, chat, form fills and other marketing sources
  • Proactively follow up on leads via phone, email, and text to schedule consultations and service appointments
  • Work from lead lists, open estimates, and “not sold” jobs to re-engage potential customers
  • Track and report on call outcomes and conversion metrics
2. Dispatch Coordination
  • Coordinate sales technician schedules, optimize routes, and manage real-time changes
  • Communicate job details clearly with both field crews and customers
  • Monitor job status in ServiceTitan and ensure jobs are moving through the workflow efficiently
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in a customer service, dispatch, or outbound calling role
  • Proficiency with ServiceTitan, RingCentral, and Microsoft Office (or equivalent CRM/dispatch systems)
  • Clear and confident verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail, especially when managing multiple calendars and call follow-ups
  • Comfortable working independently while coordinating with field and office team Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
  • Strong interpersonal skills — ability to work closely with crews, customers, and leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in home services, construction, or trades (plumbing, HVAC, roofing, foundation repair, etc.)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Familiarity with KPIs like call-to-appointment rate, booking rate, and technician efficiency
Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and using a computer or phone for extended periods
  • Lifting, carrying, or moving routine office supplies, packages, and files up to 30 pounds
  • Navigating office areas, storage areas, and common spaces
