System Administrator Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local agricultural specialist who is seeking a System Administrator to join their team.  The System Administrator will provide day-to-day support and system maintenance while assisting internal employees supporting daily business needs. The ideal Systems Administrator has multiple years of hands on experience, can easily spot and resolve system issues while maintaining a smooth running operation.  The System Administrator position is a full-time, direct hire position in Yuba City, CA. 


System Administrator Job Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as The 1st Point of Contact For In Person, by Phone, or Remote Needs 
  • Install, Configure & Troubleshoot Desktop Issues Including Laptops, Mobile Devices, Printers, & Other Business Needs 
  • Provide Support For MS Windows 10/11, 365, Exchange Online, & Teams 
  • Support & Monitor Backup Systems, Endpoint Management, & Basic Cybersecurity
  • Troubleshoot & Maintain Network Connectivity Issues Through LAN/WAN Levels 
  • Administer & Support Local Servers, Storage, & Cloud-Hosted Systems
  • Maintain Clear Documentation of Systems, Support Tickets, Asset Inventory, & Standard Operating Procedures 
  • Work in Coordination With The Company’s IT Partners For Escalations, Project Work, Standards Alignment, & Proactive Improvements 
  • Lead & Participate in IT-Related Projects, Upgrades, & Rollouts 
  • Monitor & Report on System Performance, Availability, & Patch Compliance 
  • Escalate Complex Issues to The Company’s IT Partner or Other Senior Resources 
  • Provide Training or Orientation For End Users on Basic Technology Usage & Security Awareness
  • Assist in Evaluating New Technology Solutions or Recommended Improvements 
  • Monitor & Address Tickets & Respond in a Timely, Professional Manner 
  • Communicate With Internal & External Teams & Partners, Providing Updates & Setting Clear Expectations 
  • Provide Professional Customer Service to All Employees & External Contacts

System Administrator Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • High School Diploma Required
  • AA or BS Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Systems Administration Highly Preferred 
  • 2+ Years of Related Work Experience Required 
  • Must be Familiar With MS Windows, Active Directory, & Office 365 
  • Previous Experience Networking Concepts Such as DNS, DHCP, IP Routing, & VPNs
  • Demonstrates Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills 
  • Excellent Time Management & Problem-Solving Skills 
  • Experience Working in Collaboration With MSP or Third-Party IT Partners 
  • Must be Detail-Orientated, Dependable & Capable of Working Independently
