Job description

Fetch Staffing Solutions is filling a Benefit Specialist position on a contract to hire basis for a large nonprofit client based in Midtown Atlanta. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days/week in the office. The Benefit Specialist plays an integral role as part of the HR Department reporting to the Benefits Manager. The Benefits Specialist has in-depth knowledge of employee benefits and the federal and state laws that govern them. They also have in-depth knowledge of leave administration.

Payrate is $28 – $35/hr

Responsibilities:
  • Assists with newhire orientations.
  • Performs quality checks of benefitsrelated data.
  • Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
  • Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
  • Assist employees with enrollment/qualifying life event issues.
  • Reconciliation of monthly vendor bills and generation of purchase orders for vendor payments.
  • Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Processes and administers all leaveofabsence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
  • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
  • Responds to 403(b) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Assists with the open enrollment process.
  • Administers Wellness team initiatives.
  • Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
  • Ability to think beyond initial inquiry to determine the actual needs or intent of the customer.
  • Problemsolving & analytical skills; detailed orientated.
  • Excellent followthrough skills.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field of study required.
  • 3+ years work experience in HR/Benefits including review of key benefits plan changes and facilitating the open enrollment process. Possess indepth knowledge of leave administration laws including FMLA, medical, personal and disability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Preferred:
  • ADP HR/Benefits experience a plus
  • Bilingual preferred
