Overview

Bob Howard Buick GMC is seeking a motivated and customer-focused BDC Representative to join our team.

The BDC Representative serves as the first point of contact for prospective customers, responding to internet, phone, and dealership-generated sales leads. This role is responsible for building customer interest, providing timely follow-up, and scheduling appointments that drive showroom traffic and sales opportunities.

The ideal candidate is professional, energetic, and comfortable communicating through phone calls, emails, and text messages. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset.


Responsibilities

 
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound sales leads via phone, email, text, and CRM platforms.
  • Conduct outbound follow-up calls and communications with prospective customers.
  • Engage customers in conversation to understand their vehicle needs and interests.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for the dealership sales team.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with customers to maximize appointment show rates.
  • Accurately document customer interactions and activities within the CRM system.
  • Work closely with sales management and team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Meet or exceed appointment-setting, show-rate, and sales-related performance goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive first impression of the dealership.
  • Follow dealership BDC processes, scripts, and best practices.

Qualifications

 
  • Previous BDC, customer service, call center, sales support, or automotive dealership experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong phone presence with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Comfortable communicating through phone, email, and text messaging.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
