The Operations & Events Associate The Rock at La Cantera (Part-Time) is an entry-level, hands-on role responsible for supporting both event conversions and general facility operations at The Rock at La Cantera. This position plays a key role in executing the setup, breakdown, and reset of banquets, events, and activations in Frost Plaza, Victory Capital Performance Center, and Gunn Family Park, ensuring all spaces are event-ready and aligned with organizational standards.
In addition to event-related duties, the role supports the day-to-day operational needs of the facility, including cleanliness, inventory, vendor coordination, and occasional assistance to the Basketball Operations team. Working under the direction of the Sr Manager Facility Operations, the Associate contributes to a clean, functional, and welcoming environment across all areas of the complex.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in both sports and event facility operations while being part of a collaborative, high-performing team committed to SS&E's championship culture.
What You'll Do:
  • Perform routine court maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and equipment reset to ensure readiness for practices and workouts
  • Stock supplies and beverages throughout designated facility areas, including locker rooms, staff spaces, and common areas
  • Conversion team for banquets, events, and activations in Frost Plaza, Victory Capital Performance Center, and the Gunn Family Park.
  • Support room resets and facility upkeep to maintain cleanliness and organization after events or team activity
  • Assist with shipping and receiving, including logging deliveries and distributing packages to appropriate areas
  • Provide vendor escort and support as needed for scheduled services and maintenance work
  • Participate in inventory control processes, including stock counts and communicating replenishment needs to the Coordinator or Senior Coordinator
  • Uphold a high level of customer service when interacting with guest, vendors, and Basketball Operations staff, always maintaining professionalism and discretion
  • Adhere to all facility standard operating procedures, and contribute feedback for continuous improvement
  • Performs opening/closing procedures daily for Frost Plaza

Who You Are:
  • Experience in a customer service, custodial, or facility support role preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office tools)

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry items over 50 lbs
  • Must be able to remain on feet and alert for 8-12 hour shifts
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holiday
