Co-op: An 8-month long opportunity, Co-op positions are full-time employment experience. Co-ops are fully immersed into the worlds of corporate and production industry as full-time team member.
Internship: A semester long opportunity, Internships positions are a part-time employment experience. With the opportunity to extend multiple semesters, Interns tap into the foundations of our corporate and production industries.

Role & Responsibility

Your primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Treasury

  • Sets Corporate daily cash position using information reporting from various banking applications and Treasury workstation; Includes the NA region - United States, Canada and Mexico 
  • Performs daily reconciliation of concentration accounts including reconciling statements against weekly accounts payable files to prior day bank statements
  • Utilizes cash reconciliation to prepare and distribute daily global cash reports for upper management 
  • Assists in controlling the monthly global cash flow forecast operating system and supports team in preparation of rolling cash forecast 
  • Assists with the monthly intercompany Netting cycle between entities across various regions globally
  • Perform financial risk management review such as FX currency analysis, Interest rate exposure analysis, transaction and activity analysis
  • Effectively collaborate with partnering departments and teammates to assist Treasury leadership with ad-hoc projects and various daily activities

Risk Management

  • Oversee coordinate Insurance Certificate activity to support customer requirements and desired coverage from various business partners
  • Assist with risk analytics/modeling of program
  • Recommend and document, contract standards for insurance and indemnification wording
  • Establishing and regularly updating a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, measure, monitor and control all aspects of risk
  • Assist in compilation of underwriting data for insurance renewals and programs

Tax Department

  • Draft informational reporting forms for federal tax compliance.
  • Collect data for special tax calculations/analysis.
  • Assist with departmental survey projects to learn underlying allocation calculations for tax concepts and about the Doosan business.
  • Gather information for audit responses as needed.
  • Tax package preparation, distribution, and intake/follow-up.
  • Process exemption certificates to gain insight into sales and use tax processes.
  • ERP conversion support, such as user acceptance testing, report review and validation.
  • Gather accruals and submit invoice payments to reinforce accounting principles.
  • Participate in monthly/annual update cycle of tax rates, authorization forms, workpaper roll-forwards, etc. to see the tax accounting and compliance function flow.
  • Review and log tax notices.
Job Requirement
  • Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing seeking a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Risk Management, Insurance or equivalent
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills 
  • Team player, fast learner, and adaptable to change
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills is a must
  • A self-starter and will dig into problems independently and will look for limited guidance 
  • Be able to commit to Doosan Bobcat for the entire term of the co-op (8 months) or internship (4 months)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to follow written instructions
