Being a Director, Commercial Banking Team at National Bank means coaching a team of Commercial Account Managers to promote value‑added solutions across the Bank’s various Commercial Banking distribution channels, while also managing a senior portfolio of commercial clients.

You will stand out through your ability to support your team in the field, your business development skills, your influence, your leadership, and your collaborative mindset.

This position reports to the Regional Vice President, Commercial Banking, and covers the Laval and North Shore region.

Your rôle :

  • Manage a team of 5 to 8 Account Managers, in support of the Regional Vice President, by fostering an environment that drives engagement and achievement of objectives; the role may also include managing a client portfolio
  • Monitor employee performance and support skills development through personalized coaching
  • Optimize the sector’s efficiency, productivity, and profitability by implementing business growth strategies
  • Develop strategies with internal partners to maximize market impact and increase visibility within Commercial Banking
  • Contribute to the development of the annual business plan for your market and oversee its execution
  • Build and maintain long‑term client relationships through various acquisition and retention initiatives
  • Act as a Bank ambassador within the local community and strengthen relationships with key partners
  • Ensure an appropriate balance between risk management and profitability in business development activities
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and operational procedures
  • Stay informed of market developments and ensure that Commercial Banking products and services evolve to meet client needs and remain competitive
