Position Summary

The Bank Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and operational excellence of an assigned retail banking office. This role leads from the front, building a high-performing team, deepening customer relationships, and ensuring the branch consistently delivers strong results aligned with market and enterprise priorities.


The Branch Manager partners closely with the Retail Market Leader to execute strategy locally while fostering a culture of accountability, coaching, and community engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Coaching

  • Lead, coach, and develop all branch team members to achieve individual and branch performance goals
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, observational coaching, and performance conversations
  • Support onboarding and ongoing development using established training and coaching programs
  • Reinforce a culture of ownership, professionalism, and customer-first behaviors
  • Provide timely and accurate performance feedback and partner with the RML on performance management when needed


Sales and Relationship Growth

  • Drive branch production across deposits, loans, and referral opportunities
  • Lead daily and weekly sales huddles to align activity with goals and priorities
  • Coach team members on identifying customer needs and delivering meaningful financial solutions
  • Ensure consistent use of relationship-building and needs-based conversation models
  • Actively manage branch pipelines and personal production where applicable


Customer Experience

  • Ensure every customer interaction reflects the bank’s service standards
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns with professionalism and urgency
  • Monitor lobby flow, appointment effectiveness, and service levels
  • Foster long-term customer relationships that deepen loyalty and retention


Operations and Risk Management

  • Maintain full responsibility for branch operational integrity and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee cash management, audits, and internal controls
  • Monitor and mitigate operational and fraud risks within the branch
  • Partner with the RML and support teams on operational reviews and corrective action plans

  • Support talent identification and development for future leadership opportunities

Qualifications
