What does a bakery owner do?

A bakery owner is responsible for managing all aspects of a bakery business. This includes overseeing daily operations, creating menus, handling finances, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality baked goods are produced. Bakery owners also handle marketing, customer service, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Their role combines culinary skills, business management, and creativity to run a successful bakery.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a bakery owner, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Bakery Owner, you need strong baking expertise, business management knowledge, and experience with food safety regulations, often supported by culinary training or relevant certifications. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and health inspection standards is also important.
