Assistant Bakery Manager - Tinton Falls, NJ

Do you have a passion for baking, a knack for leading a team, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced bakery kitchen? Our Tinton Falls, NJ store is looking for an Assistant Bakery Manager to help oversee our busy, high-volume bakery. If you love the smell of fresh baked goods, the art of of baking cakes, and the excitement of holiday rushes, this is the perfect role for you!

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the Bakery Manager to run daily operations of the Bakery Department

  • Work alongside our talented baking team to create gourmet favorites - cakes, cookies, muffins, tarts, and special orders

  • Lead by example, delivering exceptional customer service at our bakery counter

  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met

  • Support hiring and training of bakery staff, with guidance from the Bakery Manager

  • Maintain production standards and keep displays looking beautiful, consistent, and appealing

  • Handle customer concerns professionally and with care

  • Keep operations running smoothly during high-volume times (especially holidays!)

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent; pastry chef training a plus

  • 3+ years of bakery experience, with at least 2 years in management

  • Food handler's license required

  • Strong knowledge of bakery operations including hiring, training, and scheduling

  • Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure (holidays don't scare you!)

  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for great customer service

  • Comfortable speaking, reading, and writing in English

Working Conditions
