Compensation: $15.50 to $20.25 per hour, plus tips

Summary

The Baker is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service through the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of LaMar’s Donuts and Coffee products, early-morning baking and production tasks, and general bakery operations. A Baker must demonstrate exceptional hospitality, punctuality, product knowledge, and operational support across multiple areas of the business when not driving or delivering.

English proficiency is not required for early-morning baking and production responsibilities performed before 3:00 AM.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Baking and Production Responsibilities

(As early as 6:00 PM the day prior and through the next business day, up until 3:00 AM)

    1.Baker prepares donuts and specialty pastries, including icings and frostings, according to established recipes.
    2.Baker deliver’s Lamar’s products.
    3.Baker takes appropriate temperatures of dry and wet ingredients.
    4.Baker reviews production schedules to determine items needed for daily operations.
    5.Baker receives ingredients and supplies needed for production.
    6.Baker cuts, weighs, molds, proofs, fries, and decorates donuts and specialty pastries as required.
    7.Baker applies toppings and finishings to pastries.
    8.Baker shapes dough by hand or using rollers, cutters, or other equipment.
    9.Baker stocks display counters and assists with product finishing before store opening.
    10.Baker retrieves products from warehouse areas and stocks shelves.
    11.Baker ensures product quality during and after preparation and reports issues to management.
    12.Baker detects and reports defective supplies, spoiled product, equipment issues, or unusual conditions.
    13.Baker completes production sheets and other required records accurately.

Operational and Store Support Responsibilities

    1.Baker maintains a neat, orderly, and sanitized work area at all times.
    2.Baker improves quality and efficiency by studying, evaluating, and recommending process improvements.
