Job Title: Backup Engineer โ€“ Veritas NetBackup

Location: Raritan, NJ (5days onsite)

Job Description:

  • Install and configure Backup/Recovery tools ( Veritas NetBackup )
  • Maintain & update/upgrade backup/recovery tools ( Veritas NetBackup )
  • Create/configure/Execute backup jobs
  • Experience on NetBackup 7.x/8.x/9.x version
  • Experience on NetBackup Appliance 5240/5250/5340 and Flex Appliance
  • Knowledge of EMC Data Domain DD2500/DD9500/DD990/DD9800/DD6300 and DD VE Version 4.0
  • Maintain & Update/upgrade Veritas OpsCenter .
  • Thorough with change management process
  • Resolve backup related incidents - backup team will provide support for all approved systems. (ex. UNIX, Windows, Linux)
  • Perform restore testing only as per operational schedule.
  • Perform recovery in case of disaster.
  • Monitor daily reports of Data Domain, Backup status reports.
  • Hardware troubleshooting
  • Good in documentation practices and having clarity with regulations such as GxP, SOX will be an advantage
