Position Summary

A Buffet Attendant is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a buffet service in various establishments such as hotels, restaurants, or catering events. The position involves a range of duties to guarantee a positive dining experience for guests. A Buffet Attendant plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall dining experience, ensuring that guests have access to a diverse and well-maintained selection of food items in a welcoming atmosphere.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.00-$20.00.

Responsibilities
  • Arrange and set up buffet tables with an appealing and organized presentation of food items, ensuring proper placement and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor and replenish food items regularly to maintain freshness and presentation standards throughout the service period.
  • Greet and assist guests, answering questions about the menu, and providing recommendations.
  • Ensure a positive and friendly interaction with customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the buffet area, including regularly cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and serving equipment.
  • Keep track of food inventory, restock items as needed, and communicate with kitchen staff to ensure a continuous supply of dishes.
  • Monitor the quality of food items, ensuring that they meet safety and hygiene standards. Remove any expired or questionable items promptly.
  • Handle payments and cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including health and safety regulations, and ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation guidelines.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with guests.
  • Ability to maintain a visually appealing and well-organized buffet display.
  • Collaborative attitude to work seamlessly with kitchen staff and other team members.
