Background checks are processes used by employers, landlords, or other organizations to verify an individual's identity, criminal record, employment history, education, and other relevant information. They are commonly performed during hiring processes to ensure candidates meet certain standards of trustworthiness and reliability. Sales Manager - Background Screening

INTELIFI Inc

Beverly Hills, CA • On-site

$50K/yr

Full-time

Re-posted 13 hours ago

Job description

Intelifi Inc. is hiring a disciplined, high-performance Sales Manager who will both lead the team and close deals personally.

Intelifi is a nationwide employment background screening SaaS company serving HR departments, staffing agencies, healthcare organizations, and high-volume employers across the U.S.

This is a hands-on player-coach role — you will manage the team while also running your own full sales cycle.

Full-time, in-office – Beverly Hills, CA.
(Not remote.)

Your Role: Lead + Close

This is not a passive management position.
You will:

  • Manage and coach 3–4 Account Executives
  • Oversee in-house and overseas openers/SDRs
  • Run daily pipeline accountability
  • AND personally sell and close new accounts

You are expected to perform the same sales functions as the AEs while elevating overall team performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Sales Leader

  • Drive discipline, KPIs, and accountability
  • Conduct call reviews and deal strategy sessions
  • Improve inbound and outbound conversion rates
  • Ensure HubSpot pipeline accuracy and forecasting
  • Push the team toward higher monthly volume tiers

As a Closer

  • Run full-cycle B2B SaaS sales
  • Convert inbound leads
  • Generate outbound opportunities
  • Sell vendor-switch background screening deals
  • Close HR and staffing decision-makers

You lead from the front.

What You’re Selling at Intelifi

  • Nationwide employment background checks
  • County, state, and national criminal searches
  • Fast turnaround and deep coverage
  • Compliance-critical HR screening services
  • Vendor-switch campaigns vs. competing providers

This is recurring revenue SaaS with real demand.

Team Structure You’ll Oversee

  • 3–4 Account Executives
  • In-house openers
  • Overseas openers supporting outbound

You will align opener performance with AE closing discipline.

Strategic Growth Authority

  • Salary + commission + override
  • Monthly marketing budget to test and explore new sales ideas
  • Ability to help refine sales flows, sequences, and targeting

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing B2B SaaS sales teams
  • Proven personal closing ability
  • Experience selling into HR, staffing, payroll, compliance, or similar industries strongly preferred
  • Strong HubSpot CRM knowledge
  • Comfortable managing both inbound and outbound motions
  • Must be local to Beverly Hills, CA

This Role Is NOT For You If

  • You only want to manage and not sell
  • You avoid performance accountability
  • You lack SaaS leadership structure
  • You prefer remote-only roles

If you are a disciplined SaaS sales leader who can close personally, drive team performance, and scale recurring revenue in the HR space — Intelifi wants to meet you.
