Specializing in cloud solutions and datacenter technologies, Daymark’s unique combination of in-depth technical knowledge, extensive experience, and proven methodologies enable our customers to successfully address even the most difficult business and technology challenges.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Azure Solutions Architect who is passionate about solving real business challenges and shaping how modern workplaces operate.
This is a customer-facing, hands-on consulting role that combines technical pre-sales with solution delivery. You'll lead discovery workshops, design Azure-based solutions, scope projects, and remain technically involved through implementation to ensure successful outcomes.
This is not a traditional operations or DevOps engineering role. Instead, we're seeking someone who enjoys partnering with customers, influencing technical decisions, and building the solutions they design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery and pre-sales engagements, translating customer business needs into solution architectures, scope definitions, and compelling value propositions in partnership with the sales team.

  • Design, configure, and implement cloud and technology solutions while delivering documentation and knowledge transfer to customer stakeholders.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle, driving successful deployments, resolving complex technical challenges, and ensuring customer satisfaction and adoption goals are met.

  • Advise customers on best practices, whether with industry standards or your own recommendations, around Microsoft Azure including security, networking, applications services, Artificial Intelligence and data management.

  • Contribute to expanding our Microsoft partnership & Azure practice through growth in CSP and Professional Services revenue, the development of new technical skills & focus areas, and building relationships with key Microsoft resources.

  • Participate in knowledge exchanges with coworkers, regularly sharing and receiving knowledge to enhance our Microsoft Azure services, including best practices, implementation strategies, and complex architectures.

  • Collaborate with team members to define and implement/document standards and methodologies for Professional Services engagements.

  • Learn security and compliance frameworks including but not limited to Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 for Defense Industrial Base customers leveraging Microsoft Azure Government and Microsoft 365 GGC High.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience leading customer-facing Azure consulting engagements.
  • Strong technical pre-sales, solution design, and project scoping experience.
  • Current hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Azure solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience with Microsoft Partners, consulting firms, systems integrators, or Professional Services teams is highly preferred.

Important: U.S. citizenship is required due to access requirements for Azure Government, Microsoft 365 GCC High, and Defense Industrial Base environments.

Technical Requirements

Strong experience across many of the following:

  • Azure infrastructure, networking, identity, and security
  • Azure Landing Zones, governance, and migrations
  • Azure Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall, Entra ID, Azure Monitor
  • Hybrid cloud and datacenter modernization
  • PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or ARM)
  • Azure Government and Microsoft 365 GCC High (preferred)

Nice to have: Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Power Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, and AI services.

Preferred certifications include:

  • AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
  • AZ-104 (Azure Administrator)
  • AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer)
  • AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer)

HR Information

  • Full-time, permanent role

  • Base Salary: $180,000-$200,000 (plus bonuses)

  • Comprehensive benefits package

  • Fully remote work
