LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport NY 14450; Eastern Monroe Career Center

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time, Probationary position

STARTING DATE: August 31, 2026

SALARY RANGE: $48,500 - $78,642 per school year (or higher depending on BUP negotiations)
*Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
 

We are recruiting for a full-time, tenure track teacher.  Do you have experience working in automated manufacturing?  Are you looking for a great career with outstanding benefits?  Do you want to give back to the automated manufacturing industry and community by working with high school students who represent the future workforce?  Look no further!  We are looking for a motivated and energetic person to serve as the Teacher for our Automated Manufacturing and Machining Program.  

Check out the duties and qualifications below: 

DUTIES:

  1. Provide instruction to high school students preparing for careers in Automated Manufacturing and Machining.
  2. Oversee all activities that provide high school students with a hands-on, practical experience in automated manufacturing and machining.
  3. Implement curriculum according to industry and New York State school standards.
  4. Arrange for speakers, field trips, and work experience opportunities for students.
  5. Work in a team environment that fosters the philosophy of collaborative planning.
  6. Communicate with school staff, parents, districts, and community agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Candidate must be willing to obtain NYS CTE Teacher Certification: Machine Tool Operation/Machine Shop 7-12.
  2. Associate's degree - Machine Tool Operation/Machine Shop and 2 years of experience working in a machine tool operation/machine shop.   

    Or

  3. Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a machine tool operation/machine shop.
  4. Commitment to supporting students' social emotional and academic development.
  5. Enthusiasm towards working with students and their families to help the students succeed.
  6. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
