Federal Work-Study positions are part-time positions hired each semester and are for current Ivy Tech students.
The Student Life Work-Study serves as support to Student Life and functions related to extra and co-curricular activities, student organizations, and student engagement. Serve as a point of contact for internal and external customers who are seeking assistance from Student Life. Maintain good public relations and a professional image for the services, events, and activities that are provided through the department.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the planning, marketing, and facilitation of student life events, meetings, and conferences, including facility reservations and set-up, vendor arrangements, catering arrangements, audio-visual requests, reservation lists, and attendance tracking.
  • Create Student Life printed/electronic materials and provide upkeep of campus boards in all buildings.
  • Maintain the IvyLife student life portal, including event creation, marketing posts, and event participation.
  • Provide ongoing administrative support for student organizations, regarding org startup, registration, tracking, training, and travel.
  • Maintenance of supplies and materials in all Student Life locations, including the Student Life office and storage closet(s).
  • Work collaboratively with other internal departments and faculty to market and implement appropriate programming and activities. M
  • Maintain calendars, schedule appointments, and support designated on-campus and virtual meetings and workshops, including follow-up as needed.

Starting Salary Range: $15.00 per hour

Minimum Position Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Excellent customer service and general office skills
  • Basic knowledge of computers and general office equipment
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, changing, and diverse environment

Minimum Federal Work Study Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Student must have completed the current FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need.
  • Maintain a minimum of 1 credit hour or more of enrollment in eligible courses.
  • Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status.
  • The student cannot have any incomplete financial aid requirements.
