Job description

Audio-Visual Technician

Position Overview

Bowen Technovation is seeking a skilled and motivated Audio-Visual (A/V) Technician to support the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and client support of professional A/V systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical capability, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to contribute effectively in a collaborative project environment.

This role involves travel to customer sites throughout the United States and provides the opportunity to work with advanced audio, video, lighting, and control technologies across a range of client environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with A/V installation teams to complete system installations accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with project requirements.
  • Pull, route, dress, label, and terminate cabling in accordance with industry standards and project documentation.
  • Install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot audio, video, lighting, and control systems.
  • Conduct system testing and quality assurance to verify performance prior to project completion.
  • Provide professional client training and support for the operation and basic maintenance of installed A/V systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of installation details, system configurations, and service activities.
  • Represent Bowen Technovation with professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality work.


Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in audio-visual installation, systems integration, or technical support.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to professional A/V systems.
  • Working knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and control technologies.
  • Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings, schematics, and installation documentation.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.


Preferred

  • Experience supporting commercial A/V systems and integration projects.
  • Familiarity with structured cabling standards, methods, and best practices.
  • Industry certifications, such as CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, or relevant manufacturer-specific credentials.
  • Experience with network-based A/V systems and related technologies.


Travel and Physical Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites throughout the United States and possibly internationally as project needs require.
  • Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and ability to operate company vehicles responsibly.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and transport equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
