Job description

ATS is looking for an Aviation Electronics Technician II to work in Fort Walton, FL. To join our team of outstanding professionals,

The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.

Responsibilities
  • De-modification of base EC-130J specific avionics/electrical systems and wiring.
  • Restoration/integration of OEM C-130J avionics systems and wiring.
  • Routing avionics/electrical harness/wire/cable assemblies.
  • Electrical termination of avionics/electrical harness/wire/cable assemblies.
  • Testing avionics/electrical wiring.
  • Installation of aircraft avionics/electrical components.
  • Per Diem of $178/DAY WILL BE OFFERED TO THOSE 100+ MILES AWAY.

This position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Applicants selected may be hired but cannot begin work until funding has been confirmed.

Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
  • Previous aviation electronics experience (USAF exp preferred).
  • SOF aviation experience desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics and IETMs.
  • Experience with electronic logbook systems.
  • Must have or be able to certify in both Basic and Advanced solder certification.
  • Must be able to pass solder vision testing.
