The Atlassian Administrator is responsible for configuring, maintaining, architecting and troubleshooting Zoot’s Atlassian systems. This role will focus on building scalable workflows, automations, and system configurations that support business and engineering processes. Additionally, the Atlassian Administrator will support Zoot’s Microsoft 365 implementation alongside the Corporate team. The Atlassian Administrator position is fast paced and ever changing and requires regular management of changing priorities.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and strategic guidance for Atlassian products (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo). This includes recommending and supporting company initiatives (e.g., migrations).
  • Design, configure, and maintain Jira and Confluence, including workflows, issue types, automation, spaces, templates, and overall system structure aligning to stakeholder and business needs.
  • Establish and enforce platform standards, governance, and best practices, including naming conventions, permission models, and scalable configurations.
  • Provide ongoing administration, optimization, and support for Atlassian Cloud products, including user training, documentation, and management of apps and integrations/add-ins.
  • Assist with administering Microsoft/Office 365 solutions (e.g., SharePoint, PowerBI).
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and ensuring system resilience at all times.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows.
  • Assist with troubleshooting the corporate environment, including software, hardware, business applications, and communication platforms (e.g., Atlassian products, Teams), resolving system errors and crashes.
  • Enforce policies, manage access controls, and identifying/responding to suspicious activity and potential cyber threats.
  • Utilize ticketing system to track issues, changes, logging work completed, next steps, and general communication to users and teams.
  • Assist with administering data backup strategies to ensure data protection.
  • Generate and track purchase orders (e.g., software).
  • Create and maintain general reports and responses (e.g., audit requests).
  • Collaborate with other teams like network administrators, application developers, security engineers, and service operations, address user concerns, and assist with general communication triage and remediation.
  • Monitor external services for outages and communicate internally with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify changes necessary to maintain a modern corporate environment. Work with other internal departments to analyze requirements. Assist with evaluating and recommending IT solutions, products, and services.
  • Orchestrate the corporate environment in alignment with Zoot’s policies, procedures, team expectations, and Change Management and Release Management processes.
  • Recognize when issues exceed personal scope after thoroughly troubleshooting first, documenting efforts, then escalating appropriately to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Track time on a basis that is required by accounting.

Education, Training, and Experience Requirements:

Occasional nighttime and weekend work is required within the position. This position may occasionally require travel. The Information Security Analyst position is fast paced and ever changing, requiring flexibility, self-initiative, and regular management of changing priorities.
