Job description

Where You'll Work
  • This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at our West Chester, PA location several days per week (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: PA, NJ, or DE. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

What You'll Do
  • You will support department, as led by Sr. Managers Technical Design, while learning important product areas/brands.
  • You will provide technical support in collaboration with partners to gain clear direction on matters about aesthetic, fit intent, specs, pattern, construction methods and techniques to improve fit, balance, and overall quality of the garment.
  • You will help establish pattern blocks to maintain fit consistency for product by establishing the initial block spec. Ensure standard grade rules are applied to each garment.
  • You will establish category/brand standards for fit, construction, and quality.
  • You will complete technical specification packets including measurements specifications, construction details, appropriate tolerances, and any predefined performance standards.
  • You will communicate with vendors/factories all information necessary to create the garments and corrections and approvals.
  • You will learn to Identify potential production, quality and costing issues and make recommendations to ensure brand integrity.
  • You will evaluate garment to determine compliance of spec, construction, fit intent, and aesthetic.
  • You will participate in fit sessions on live models and mannequin.
  • You will make appropriate fit and construction adjustments with vendors/factories to ensure integrity of aesthetic and fit intent are met.
  • You will ensure all deadlines are met; support the T&A calendar objectives.
  • You will work with Technical Design leaders to enhance and evolve processes as business evolves, while driving to elevate the quality of the product.
  • You will collaborate and develop close working relationships with design, sourcing, merchandising, QA, sourcing offices and vendors to ensure all business practices are achieved and upheld.
  • You will manage workload for own brands.

  • Minimum Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in fashion design or related program
  • Minimum Experience:
    • Minimum 2-3 years industry experience with-in Technical Design or Patternmaking.
