Job Summary:
Canvas is seeking experienced Associate Solutions Architects who thrive on solving complex challenges and delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions. In this role, you will influence technical strategy, drive growth in emerging markets, and collaborate with top talent to support critical missions across government and commercial sectors.
Responsibilities:
• Lead technical solution development for complex problems across the Mission Technology Solutions portfolio.
• Shape customer requirements through early engagement, market research, and identification of competitive discriminators.
• Develop proposal content, including technical volumes, whitepapers, and Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and respond to RFIs and market surveys.
• Apply advanced methodologies such as Digital Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), DevSecOps, Agile development, Cloud architectures, and Data Analytics using AI/ML, with a strong emphasis on System of Systems integration.
• Strong interpersonal skills working across multi-disciplinary teams to capture and develop new and innovative solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, or related field); advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5-8 years of industry experience in solution architecting or directly supporting operational programs to delivery capability to customers. Preferred experience in an operational leadership role such as a Team Lead or Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead.
• Proven experience in one or more mission areas: Defense, Intelligence, Civilian Space, or Homeland Security.
• Strong background in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), System of Systems integration, architecture, and infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to create, lead, or deliver technical solution development for complex problems for proposal volumes or operational programs.
• Experience writing technical solutions, whitepapers, and developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) as part of a proposal.
• Ability to respond to RFIs, market surveys, and support customer shaping efforts.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams, foster collaboration, and engage stakeholders.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for interfacing with customers and internal leadership.
• Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams, foster collaboration, and engage stakeholders.
• Demonstrate effective use multiple communication methods to work across geographically dispersed teams collaborating on shared artifacts.
• Security clearance eligibility is required.
Preferred:
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Preferred experience in an operational leadership role such as a Team Lead or Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead.
