Location: Denver, Colorado/Hybrid
Denver-based candidates are expected to work in a hybrid model (3 days in the office and 2 days from home)

We are looking for a new Associate Software Engineer to join our Software Development Team. This is an Entry-level position focused on learning fundamental development practices and contributing to team projects under close mentorship. Our customers use our software for critical work in public safety and corporate security, and it is our mission to make them incredibly successful in their job. That's where you come in. 

Job Type: Full-time Exempt

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Write clean, maintainable code in Java and JavaScript under supervision
  • Participate in code reviews and implement feedback from senior team members
  • Create and update basic documentation in Confluence
  • Track assigned tasks and update status in Jira
  • Submit merge requests following established team guidelines
  • Learn GitLab workflows and version control best practices
  • Assist with debugging and fixing minor bugs
  • Participate in team meetings and agile ceremonies


Required Education: 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Required Skills &Experience:

  • Internship experience in software development
  • Basic understanding of Java programming fundamentals
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and at least one JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
  • Understanding of version control concepts (Git)
  • Exposure to agile development methodologies
  • Basic understanding of database concepts
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in software development
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
