Job Summary:
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is a leader in remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars. They are seeking an Associate Software Developer to research, design, develop, and modify software applications for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
Responsibilities:
โข Design and develop C++ 17 infrastructure and services for x86 and ARM 9 systems.
โข Use Petalinux build tools for ARM 9 systems
โข Responsible for unit testing, integration testing, software maintenance, and documentation and meeting software quality and compliance standards.
โข Evaluate integration of software applications with the overall computing environment.
โข Communicate with domain experts, users, and management throughout the software development lifecycle.
โข Contribute to planning of application development and deployment.
โข Perform other duties as assigned or required.
โข Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
โข Perform other duties as assigned.
โข Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
โข Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
โข Typically requires a bachelors degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
โข Must have a general understanding of software development concepts, principles, and theory and demonstrate the ability to follow and apply the use of programming and analysis concepts.
โข Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.
โข Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required to interface with other professionals, to produce appropriate documentation, and to present results to an internal audience.
โข Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
โข Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required.
