Description
SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to join our prestigious Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC) team within the Enterprise Analytics and Integration Division. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy innovative cloud-native applications while integrating advanced Oracle database solutions. This is a rewarding opportunity to work 100% onsite at Offutt AFB NE, contributing to systems that support national defense.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and Innovate: Create and implement advanced software systems for cloud-native environments.
  • Database Integration: Develop seamless integrations between applications and Oracle databases to ensure robust functionality and performance.
  • Agile Teamwork: Collaborate in an Agile Framework, working within a highly integrated software development team to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
  • DevSecOps Excellence: Operate within advanced DevSecOps pipelines and processes to ensure the secure, efficient, and effective deployment of database solutions to cloud environments.
  • Secure Deployments: Manage deployment of database systems across various secure enclaves, ensuring data security and compliance with Department of War (DoW) standards.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with nine (9) or more years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree and seven (7) or more years of relevant experience.
  • Additional years of experience or an Associates degree may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelors degree if other skill sets are present.

Required Clearance and Certification:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance is required at the time of application.
  • The ability to pass a Counter Intelligence Polygraph.
  • DoD IAT Level II (or equivalent) certification (one or more of the following):
    • CompTIA Security+ CE.
    • GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification).
    • CySA+ (CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst).
    • CND (EC-Council Certified Network Defender).
    • SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner).
    • GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional).

Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Oracle Application Express (APEX): Demonstrated proficiency with Oracle's low-code development framework for building database-driven applications.
  • GitLab Expertise: Practical experience with GitLab for source code management, project tracking, collaboration, and documentation in an Agile development environment.
  • Cloud & Secure Environments: Knowledge and experience working in secure cloud computing environments, particularly deploying mission-critical applications.
