Job description

The Associate Sales Representative is responsible for growing market share throughout

Palm Beach County by developing new customer relationships, expanding business

within existing accounts, and increasing product placement across assigned markets.

This role works in partnership with the Territory Sales Representative who is responsible

for managing the territory’s largest strategic accounts. The Associate Sales

Representative focuses on increasing customer coverage, identifying new business

opportunities, reactivating inactive accounts, and providing consistent service to

customers that have historically received limited sales coverage.

This is a commission-eligible sales position designed to increase market penetration

while allowing the Territory Sales Representative to focus on maintaining and growing

the company’s largest customers.

Key Responsibilities

ï‚· Prospect and develop new customer accounts throughout the Palm Beach

County territory.

ï‚· Expand sales within existing small and mid-sized accounts through regular

customer visits.

ï‚· Identify opportunities for new product placements, promotions, and increased

market share.

ï‚· Maintain consistent call coverage across assigned accounts to ensure strong

customer relationships.

ï‚· Collaborate with the Territory Sales Representative to align on territory strategy

and avoid overlapping in customer management.

ï‚· Support sales initiatives, promotions, product launches, and merchandising

efforts.

ï‚· Monitor competitive activity and communicate market trends and customer

feedback.

ï‚· Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and pipeline information.

ï‚· Meet or exceed assigned sales, growth, and activity goals.

Qualifications:

ï‚· Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A bachelors degree in business,

marketing, or a related field is preferred.

ï‚· Sales Experience: Prior sales experience, preferably in heavy equipment,

construction, industrial, or commercial equipment.

ï‚· Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills,

including active listening and persuasive presentation abilities.

ï‚· Self-Motivation and Drive: Proven ability to work independently, take the initiative,

and meet or exceed sales targets in a goal-oriented environment.

ï‚· Customer-Focused Mindset: Genuine passion for understanding customer needs

and providing tailored solutions to drive customer satisfaction.

ï‚· Technical Aptitude: Basic knowledge or aptitude to learn about Caterpillar

products, services, and industry-specific applications.
