Job description

The Office of the Registrar invites applicants for the position of Associate Registrar for Academic Technology/Business Analyst (Manager 180). Reporting to the Assistant Vice President & University Registrar, the Associate Registrar for Academic Technology/Business Analyst provides guidance and leadership on the technical aspects of student record management including requirement gathering, testing, and training.

The Associate Registrar will set up Banner tables and forms for the term, perform records maintenance, testing and validation of new reports, workflows, and functionality, and optimization of the Ellucian Banner student information systems (SIS). The Associate Registrar collaborates to develop and support new initiatives to improve system efficiency, reporting, and staffing training. This position also provides project management for both current projects as well as updates and monitors the on-going office production calendar.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership possessing functional expertise and excellent project management skills. This person will be highly collaborative, intently communicative, and work independently in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline driven, and team orientated environment. The candidate will leverage their experience and expertise to the organization's processes and architecture whilst ensuring adherence to established industry standards and national best practices across all functions.

Responsibilities include: Collaborate with the Office of the Registrar, Academic and Enterprise Systems, and other campus partners to develop, improve, and streamline registration and student records processes in registrar systems, including Banner, Argos, DegreeWorks, and OnBase Serve as a functional lead for the Banner Student Information System (SIS), especially for new functionality and system testing and validation Track, schedule, and plan for system upgrades, including collaboration with staff on testing and changes Lead Registrar reporting spec development and testing (Argos) Support the degree audit (DegreeWorks) as needed Manage and improve the Office of the Registrar production calendar and monitor deliverables and deadlines Lead preparation timeline for each registration cycle and support system set up Assist in the planning and development of staff training, documentation, development opportunities, and retreats Proactively monitor student record data and identify gaps in business processes Coordinate with other offices including Admissions, Financial Aid, Bursar, and The Graduate School to support system needs Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree Two years of system project management experience Technical and/or Functional experience using student information systems/applications (example: Banner, Argos, DegreeWorks, ProcessMaker, OnBase, 25Live, Parchment, and CourseLeaf) Experience establishing report specification(s) and testing/validation standards Preferred Qualifications Master's degree; and/or Two years of higher education, enrollment, or Registrar's Office experience; and/or Demonstrated knowledge of Registrar practices and procedures; and/or Technical/Functional experiencing working with Ellucian Banner application; and/or Experience developing reports; and/or Experience creating systems documentation; and/or Experience creating training materials; and/or Experience using JIRA project management applications; and/or Experience coordinating and conducting systems testing; and/or Experience working collaboratively across functional teams. Special Instructions There is the possibility of working remotely occasionally subject to departmental operations. The salary for this position is $86,565.
