Job description

Job Summary:

The Proposal Manager will be heavily involved in coordinating, preparation and delivery of proposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Proposal Manager to ensure the on-time delivery of compliant proposals to the customers.
  • Review and analyzes RFP/RFI/RFQ/RFPs to determine proposal requirements, develops outlines, and populate compliance matrices
  • Coordinates maintains and tracks all work from all participants
  • Ensure high quality proposal responses while meeting all deadlines
  • Manage all activities of proposal writing, and manage all other proposal responsibilities as required
  • Establish, distribute, and coordinate proposal schedules and drive progress towards established deadlines
  • Coordinate resources, coordinate/dictate action items from internal reviews, and interact with teammates to complete tasks
  • Review proposal drafts and final versions to ensure thoroughness, accuracy, quality, and effective design and layout
  • Ensures proposal submissions are compliant and submitted on time
Requirements

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of Proposal experience
  • Must be comfortable and able to work on multiple proposals at once, in a fast-paced environmentย 
  • High attention to detail, a must
  • Organized, able to multi-task, strong administrative skills
  • Must have experience independently working on and running a proposal, with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently and communicate across multiple departments effectively
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and technical experience required, Adobe Suite, MS Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in government procurement
  • Experience with Visio, Adobe, and/or other graphic development applications
  • Knowledge of Shipley or equivalent proposal lifecycle methodology

Education/Experience Level:

  • 5+ years of Proposal experience
  • Associates and/or Bachelor's Degree in a related area, such as English, communications, or marketing.
