Position Description
Product Managers are critical for driving Modine's strategy as we continue to enter new markets and advance our current products for the HVAC market. The Heating vertical's products are primarily focused on providing heat for residential, commercial and industrial customers in a variety of end markets. The Associate Product Manager (APM) is responsible for supporting the Product Management team in the implementation of the product strategy throughout the full product lifecycle.
The ideal candidate would have experience driving continuous improvement and sustainment activities, familiarity with the new product development processes and the ability to manage cross-functional projects to hit project deadlines.
To excel in this role, you should have the ability to influence and drive priorities across all functions of the business. You should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and customers.
Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Marketing, Engineering) to capture user feedback, build business cases, and coordinate new product launches and lifecycle updates.
  • Conduct ongoing market, industry, and competitor research (pricing, technology, trends) to identify and leverage key product differentiators and new product introductions.
  • Author, update, and maintain technical literature, catalogs, installation manuals, sales bulletins, and engaging customer training materials.
  • Manage and support strategic pre/post-sales digital tools and applications (BREEZE, websites, EDI, mobile apps), coordinating with IT to ensure seamless integration.
  • Work with plant, engineering, and key stakeholders to resolve commercial issues, align on design changes, and perform additional duties as required.

Required Education & Qualifications
Position Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of product management or equivalent experience. Examples of related experience are application engineering, product planning, project management and price management.
  • Desirable to have experience in the HVAC industry and in a distribution sales channel.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience, especially through the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools and processes such as Six Sigma, Lean and 80/20.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong financial business acumenty to learn the technical aspects of the product, including design parameters, application, installation/maintenance, product safety, and regulatory and certification issues.

  • SAP, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, SolidEdge 3D CAD, and BREEZE experience a plus

TRAVEL: 10-25% (including some air travel). May include periods with frequent trips and multiple nights away from home
Education: A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
