Associate Production Planner
Position Summary
The Associate Production Planner supports production planning and scheduling activities to ensure materials, resources, and manufacturing orders are aligned with customer demand and production objectives. This role works closely with Procurement, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain production readiness, monitor material availability, and support the timely execution of production schedules
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and maintaining production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity
  • Monitor work orders and production progress to ensure adherence to planned schedules
  • Review material shortages and collaborate with stakeholders to minimize production disruptions.
  • Create, release, and maintain manufacturing work orders within the ERP system
  • Support production readiness by ensuring materials, work orders, and planning data are available and accurate prior to manufacturing execution
  • Update and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routing information, and planning parameters as required
  • Track work order status, including schedule attainment, production progress, material consumption, output accuracy, and overall work order performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production, material, and scheduling issues
  • Generate and maintain production, inventory, and planning reports to support operational decision-making
Other Responsibilities
  • Maintain strict adherence to company procedures, planning processes, and operational standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of manufacturing and program needs

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors ’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
  • 0–2 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or related fields.
  • Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas and the ability to analyze production, inventory, and operational data to support planning activities
  • Proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central
  • Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Regular interaction with manufacturing, warehouse, and production areas
  • Ability to handle and review physical documentation as required

Work Environment
  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment
  • Exposure to production activity, controlled documents, and regulated processes
  • Use of PPE may be required while on the production floor

Reporting Structure
  • Reports to: Production Planning & Control Manager
Location

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
