The Operations Manager is a leader of leaders role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, safety, and alignment with company goals. This role leads a team of supervisors and associates, drives operational excellence through process improvements, and ensures timely and cost-effective movement of goods.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors and warehouse associates to meet performance, safety, and service goals
  • Monitor operational KPIs (e.g., productivity, accuracy, on-time shipping) and take corrective action when necessary
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and local, state, and federal laws
  • Partner with cross-functional departments (e.g., logistics, customer service, procurement) to resolve operational issues and optimize end-to-end processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, workflow optimization, and employee engagement
  • Manage staffing levels, labor planning, and scheduling to align with business demand
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other tools to ensure data integrity and operational visibility
  • Support capital improvement and technology initiatives related to warehouse operations
  • Foster a positive, performance-based culture centered on accountability, safety, and teamwork

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in warehouse or distribution operations with proven success in a supervisory capacity at Generation Tux, including ownership of team performance and operational outcomes 
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and warehouse safety practices
  • Proficient with WMS and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data analytics tools is a plus
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive performance improvements
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with competing priorities
