Job description

As the Associate Merchant for Swim you will play a key role in driving the success of the Swim business by supporting assortment planning, product development, and inseason execution. This role partners crossfunctionally with Planning, Design, Sourcing, Marketing, and Creative to deliver compelling assortments that meet financial goals and customer expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detailoriented, analytical, and trendaware individual looking to grow their career in merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales, margin, inventory, and sell through to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support the development and execution of seasonal Swim assortments aligned with brand strategy and customer insights.
  • Partner with Planning to align assortments with financial plans and inventory strategies.
  • Assist with line reviews, product set up, SKU rationalization, and style/color decisions.
  • Collaborate with Design and Sourcing to ensure product execution, cost targets, and timelines are met.
  • Support pricing strategies, markdown execution, and promotional planning.
  • Prepare weekly and seasonal business recaps and performance reports.
  • Ensure on time delivery of product and resolve issues proactively.
  • Manage purchase order accuracy, key milestones, and sample tracking.
  • Work with Marketing and Creative teams to support product launches and storytelling.
  • Maintain accurate product information in merchandising systems.
  • Support process improvements and best practices within the Swim category.
     

 Essential Skills

  • 1–3 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or a related retail role. Experience in Swim apparel a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for Swim fashion, trends, and our customer.
  • Exposure to omnichannel retail (stores and e commerce).
  • Familiarity with merchandising or PLM systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or related field.
