The IS/IT Support Specialist is a hybrid position based in Noblesville, IN. This newly created role provides frontline technical and application support for associates across home health, hospice, and home medical equipment operations. This role is responsible for user account management, password resets, troubleshooting access issues, and supporting clinical and business applications including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.


The IS/IT Support Specialist is responsible for the following:

Technical & Helpdesk Support

  • Provide support to end-user issues in the EMR system with an emphasis on providing excellent customer experience.
  • Provide first-level helpdesk support for associates experiencing technical or application-related issues.
  • Supports end users via phone and remote support tools. Provides in-person support when necessary to a 30-mile radius of ownership hospital systems.
  • Document support requests, resolutions, and system changes accurately within the ticketing system.
  • Effectively manages time to ensure information system issues are resolved to a timely manner.

End-User Communication

  • Communicates changes and issues affecting applications or users of applications.
  • Monitors the inventory of laptops and mobile devices which includes ordering, replacement of damaged goods
  • Support the management of the agency directories regularly for accuracy.
  • Prepares iPad's and laptops for end user deployment and provides orientation to new staff on use of devices
  • Develops training materials and procedures for end-users.
  • Continuing education may be required as the needs of the agencies adapt over time.
  • Deliver professional, responsive, and patient-focused customer service to all associates.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for helpdesk issues after hours as well as weekends and holidays as necessary

Security & Compliance

  • Follow HIPAA and organizational security standards to protect patient and associate information.
  • Ensure appropriate user access levels are maintained based on job responsibilities.
  • Assist with auditing user access and system activity as requested.
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected health information (PHI).
